Alfred Mutua's Wealth Now At Ksh.462M, Up From Ksh.420M in 2022

In a recent parliamentary vetting session, Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary nominee Alfred Mutua disclosed that his net worth has reached Ksh.462 million. This marks a notable increase of Ksh.42 million since his last public declaration in 2022, when he reported a net worth of Ksh.420 million.

Mutua, who previously served in President William Ruto's administration, attributed this growth to the natural appreciation of his assets. "The Ksh.462 million reflects about 9-10% normal growth in terms of land value and industry expansion. My net worth is made up of assets like homes, land where I do some farming, and a few businesses," Mutua explained.

His re-nomination comes after a dramatic reshuffle in President Ruto's cabinet, which followed widespread protests against the government's policies. Mutua had previously held the positions of Foreign Affairs and Tourism Cabinet Secretary. If approved by parliament, this will be his third ministerial role in the Kenya Kwanza administration.
