Man Confesses to Killing and Secretly Burying Father in Mwingi

Detectives in Kitui County have uncovered the remains of a man allegedly murdered by his own son more than two years ago. The grim discovery was made in Nguuni village, Mwingi West, after a breakthrough in police investigations.

The suspect, identified as Musee Ngui, is accused of killing his father, Ngui Ngunza, before secretly burying him on their family land.

At the time, Musee misled relatives by claiming that his father had traveled. This false story kept the family in the dark and deepened the mystery of the elder Ngunza’s sudden disappearance.

The case took a new turn two weeks ago when Musee was arrested in Matuu, Machakos County, where he had been hiding. His arrest came after disturbing accusations that he had defiled and impregnated his two daughters.

During police interrogation, Musee confessed to the earlier murder. He then led DCI homicide detectives to a shallow grave hidden behind their homestead. Under heavy security, officers exhumed the remains in the presence of shocked villagers and grieving relatives.

Family members expressed relief that the painful uncertainty about their loved one’s fate was finally over. However, they also demanded justice and urged authorities to ensure accountability for the heinous crime.

Musee remains in police custody as investigations continue. He is expected to face multiple charges, including murder and defilement.
