Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has publicly called on President William Ruto to appoint a fresh team of competent Cabinet Secretaries. During the commissioning of Kipsoen Technical and Vocational College on Saturday, July 13, Gachagua lauded President Ruto's bold decision to dismiss the current ministers, urging him to now select apolitical, uncorrupt, and humble individuals who will prioritize the needs of the Kenyan people.
"Kenyans are demanding a cabinet that serves with efficiency, harmony, and places the people's demands above personal interests," Gachagua stated, expressing confidence in Ruto's ability to choose the right leaders for the nation.
Gachagua's comments follow President Ruto's recent dismissal of all Cabinet Secretaries, sparing only the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Deputy President. This move came after nationwide demonstrations and a thorough performance review of the ministers.
President Ruto indicated that the cabinet overhaul was in response to the public's demands and aimed at fostering a more effective and accountable government. Gachagua's endorsement of this move highlights the administration's commitment to aligning with the will of the people and ensuring good governance.
