In a formal request to the Bomet County Secretary, the EACC has demanded comprehensive financial and procurement records. This includes advertisement notices, standard tender documents, original submissions from bidders, appointment letters for the tender opening or evaluation committee, and the tender opening register.
EACC officers M. Kemei, M. Njiru, and A. Abdi, along with other authorized personnel, are designated to collect these critical documents as part of the ongoing investigation.
EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi assured the public that anyone found culpable would face prosecution, and the commission is committed to recovering any misappropriated public funds. "We are determined to ensure accountability and transparency in public procurement processes," Ngumbi stated.
This investigation underscores the EACC's commitment to combating corruption and safeguarding public resources in Kenya.
