Eric Omondi Pays Emotional Tribute at Late Brother's Memorial Service Amidst Industry Support



Eric Omondi was visibly emotional as he paid tribute to his late brother, Fred Omondi, at a memorial service attended by a gathering from the entertainment industry. The solemn event, held to honor Fred's memory, saw Eric approach the casket with deep sorrow evident in his demeanor. Holding onto the casket for support, Eric struggled to find words amidst his grief, eventually conveying to attendees, "It's a very sad day." Overcome by emotion, he returned to his seat, comforted by his wife Lynne Njihia and close friend Terence Creative, who stood by him throughout the service.


The memorial service drew a significant turnout of personalities from the entertainment sphere, including Terence Creative, Milly Chebby, Bashra the Dancer, Don Nyachio, MC Jessy, 2Mbili, Sandra Dacha, and Akuku Danger. Each shared heartfelt memories and expressed their admiration for Fred Omondi, reflecting on his impact and legacy.





Eric Omondi expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support he received following Fred's passing, particularly acknowledging Terence Creative and Milly Chebby for organizing the memorial service and subsequent fundraising efforts. "Asanteni sana for the support. It's been overwhelming," Eric expressed. He highlighted how friends had taken charge of the arrangements, including a successful fundraising event at Carnivore that raised over a million shillings.


After the memorial service, Fred Omondi's remains are scheduled to be airlifted from Nairobi to Kisumu on Friday, June 28, 2024. From Kisumu, the journey will continue by road to Sega in Siaya County, where the burial service and ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his home in Sega, commencing at 10:00 AM. The community's strong support during this difficult time underscores the deep bonds and unity within the entertainment industry and beyond.
