Kaimenyi in Vihiga to issue Title Deeds

The minister of lands Kaimenyi has touched down this morning to preside over the issuance of Title Deeds at Vihiga Municipal grounds. The minister started by holding meeting with the land registrar and land Officials of Vihiga County to be berifed about the problems the residents of the area were facing and how far they had gone in addressing land problems in the county. The minister then paid a courtesy to the Governor of Vihiga county H.E Moses Akaranga. Speaking during the meeting Kaimenyi said that land services have been made online and this is a way to curb corruption in the land sector. The minister added that soon the Government is going to hold a National meeting with all the county commissioners and all land stakeholders to discuss on how to protect public lands wetlands and forests.

The national Land commission vice chairperson during the meeting said that Vihiga county has scares land and suggested that there should be joint ownership of land so that to curb that land problem.The minister also added to this by saying that there should be awareness on the importance of joint land ownership.
