Midnight Escape: Nakuru Father Flees with Son Amid Manhunt

In a stunning turn of events, a Nakuru man managed to evade police capture in the early hours of Friday, June 21. Authorities report that he fled with his 8-year-old son before officers could carry out an arrest at his residence. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that the man became aware of the impending arrest due to information shared by Kenyans on social media.

The early morning escape has since led to an extensive manhunt as police seek any clues regarding the duo's whereabouts. The urgency of the search is compounded by a disturbing viral video that shows the father viciously beating his son with a belt. The video, which went viral on Thursday, June 19, depicts the man stripping the boy and continuing the assault, questioning why the child did not follow instructions.

DCI has issued a public appeal, highlighting the potential danger to the boy and seeking any information that could aid in their rescue efforts. "The suspect's whereabouts are unknown, and the safety of the little boy may be at stake. We appeal to anyone who has information that could assist in rescuing the kid to share with us by reporting at any police station or call our #FichuakwaDCI hotline 0800 722 203," stated the DCI.

As the manhunt intensifies, the community remains vigilant, hoping for the safe return of the child and the apprehension of the suspect.
