Nakuru-Eldoret Highway Reopens After Sinkhole Repairs at Eveready Roundabout

Traffic along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway is back to normal after emergency repairs at the Eveready Roundabout. A large sinkhole had disrupted movement, causing delays for motorists and transporters.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) confirmed that the road is now safe for use. Engineers repaired the affected section and secured the area to prevent further damage.

KeNHA also assured road users that they will continue monitoring the upstream pipeline. This is to ensure the stability of the highway and the safety of everyone using the road.

Earlier, motorists were advised to use the Kabarak-Sobea route as an alternative. The diversion was necessary due to the heavy rains that contributed to the formation of a sinkhole on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

With the highway fully reopened, travelers can now enjoy smooth and safer journeys.
