National government to realise fund to buid TTC in Vihiga County.

Vihiga governor Moses Akaranga says the national government has promised to release Sh2.6 billion for construction of two Teachers Training Colleges in the county.

He explained that Sh1.3 billion will be used to complete construction of Kaimosi TTC and similar amount to set up a new TTC in Bunyore.

Speaking at PAG Hqs at Nyang’ori where Dept President William Ruto helped to raise money for the church, Akaranga said another Sh1.7 billion will be spent on water projects in the county.

He said he will work with the government of the day but will make his political stand when the right times comes.

The governor however complained that the government was discriminating on disbursement of development funds to Universities.

He added that Sh180 million allocated to Kaimosi Friends University College was too little as compared to what was given to other Universities among them Kibabii.

He therefore asked Ruto to intervene and ensure more money allocated to the new university to stimulate it’s growth.

Water Cabinet Secretary, MPs Ayub Savula, Rachel Shebesh, Washiali and host Charles Gimose accompanied the DP.
