The tragic death of Antony Macharia, a 17-year-old Form Four student at Isebania Secondary School, has sparked outrage in Kuria West Sub-County. Antony, innocently purchasing school supplies in Isebania town during a half-term break, was fatally shot amidst anti-government protests, despite not participating in the demonstrations. His grieving mother, Miriam Patrick, emphasized that Antony was simply a victim of circumstance, not involved in the protests.
Local residents have condemned the police for Antony's death and demand swift justice as tensions escalate following another fatal shooting during the same protests in Rongo Sub-County.
