Pau Victor Shines as Barcelona Defeats Real Madrid in US El Clasico

Pau Victor scored twice to lead Barcelona to a 2-1 victory over Spanish rivals and La Liga champions Real Madrid in a friendly at the MetLife Stadium. The match, the first El Clasico of the season, was part of both clubs' pre-season tours in the United States.

Real Madrid were missing key players Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, both absent due to their commitments in the European Championship in Germany over the summer.

The game was temporarily halted after 12 minutes due to a heavy storm but resumed after more than an hour. Barcelona took the lead just before half-time when the 22-year-old Victor headed in a cross from Robert Lewandowski.

Victor doubled Barcelona's lead shortly after the break, capitalizing on another opportunity created by Lewandowski. Although Nico Paz managed to score a late header for Real Madrid, Barcelona held on to secure the win.

Victor's performance was a highlight of Barcelona's US tour, adding to his goal tally from a 2-2 draw with Manchester City earlier in the week.
