S.MARAGOLI SANITARY TOWELS BOOST

​Member county assembly south Maragoli ward has kicked of a program where she is distributing sanitary towels to secondary schools within the ward.

Hon. Elizabeth Anaya has in the first phase distributed sanitary towels worth approximately thirty thousand shillings to Chandolo and Gilwatsi secondary schools.

The member of county assembly has termed her efforts as a way of giving both boys and girls equal opportunity to acquire education by ensuring that the ladies remain in school all through the learning period.

Madam Elizabeth also said that the remaining three schools within the ward that is, Gavalagi,Ideleri and masana will benefit in the next phase of the programme which will kick off next month.

She has also strongly stated that she intends to venture also into anti jigger campaign later on this year among school going children.

“The program has proved helpful to our girls since its kick off” said mr kerote principal Chandolo secondary school.
