EPL SATURDAY'S RESULTS

Newcastle vs Tottenham [4-1]

Saturday's six games English Premier League ended in thriller 22 goals with the early kick off, Eddie Howe side, Newcastle surprised Tottenham in a 4-0 win. Newcastle United denied Spurs points which made the fight for the top four to continue. Isak opened the scoring for the Newcastle at the half hour mark before A. Gordon doubling the lead just two minutes later. Isak had his brace 6 minutes into the second half and Schar made it 4 3minutes to stoppage time earning Newcastle 3 points and a cleanshit. Tottenham stands at number 5 with 60 points just behind Aston Villa with goal difference.

Brentford vs Sheffield[2-0]

Luckless teenager Oliver Arblaster scored an own goal as Sheffield United were shoved another step closer to the Championship after a 2-0 defeat at Brentford. substitute Frank Onyeka added a second with time ticking down on both the match and the Blades’ stay in the top flight.

Burnley vs Brighton[1-1]

A dreadful mistake from goalkeeper Aro Muric cost Burnley dear in a 1-1 Premier League draw with Brighton that could prove decisive in the relegation battle.

Moments after Josh Brownhill had capitalised on a poor back pass from Carlos Baleba to put the Clarets on course for a victory that would have left them four points from safety, Muric let a routine pass from Sander Berge slip under his foot and dribble into the net, leaving the gap at six.

Manchester City vs Luton[5-1]

Champions Manchester City moved back to the top of the Premier League with an emphatic 5-1 victory over relegation battlers Luton on Saturday. Hashioka own goal gave the Guardiola side a win in the first half. Kovacic scored scored the second for City before Halaand converting the penalty kick to make it 3. Barkley brought back hopes for the Luton when he scored the first for the side to make it 3-1 before Doku ruined everything, scoring for City, making it a game over 4-1, 3 minutes to stoppage time. Gvardiol closed the scoring 3 minutes of the added time, game ending 5-1.

Nottingham forest vs wolves[2-2]

Morgan Gibbs-White taunted his former club Wolves but Nottingham Forest could only earn a 2-2 draw which did little to help their Premier League survival hopes.

Gibbs-White goaded the away fans after he scored and was then involved in his side’s second goal but Matheus Cunha’s double for Wolves ensured Forest were denied all three points.

Bournemouth vs Manchester United[2-2]

Bournemouth had an added-time penalty award overturned by VAR as disjointed Manchester United escaped Vitality Stadium with a scarcely-deserved 2-2 draw thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ brace.

Referee Tony Harrington pointed to the spot five minutes beyond the 90 when Ryan Christie went down under a challenge from Willy Kambwala before changing his decision to a free-kick on review.

Erik ten Hag’s men were tormented for much of an uninspiring performance in Dorset and twice trailed in the first half following goals from Cherries pair Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert.
